IBPS is going to conduct Preliminary exam for PO in 10 days. The date for the exam is 7th,8th,14th & 15th of October. So only 10 days are left for the preparation. This time the students think how to utilize a single minute and what should be the plan of preparation. We are going to answer this question here. Here is subject wise strategy.
Students, it is necessary that you have prepared all the the topics once before following this strategy, only then it will work. So read it carefully and follow. You can follow this plan from today.
As we now there are three subjects in the syllabus, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English. The QA section is scoring but tough it contains 35 questions. These are easy but I said this section is tough because in hurry we commit mistakes in this section. So solve last 2 years prelims papers because this section contains repeated questions. The topics like Average, profit and loss, ratio and proportion, time and work, percentage, data interpretation, speed time and distance are easy and scoring. Make a formula book for these topics and try to solve as many questions as you can. Try to solve questions on these topics first in exam. The DI contains 3-5 questions these are easy and less time consuming you can do them first. The topics like Mensuration, quadratic equation, are tough and more time consuming so if you don't have enough time try to leave them. For these topics the last year paper are could be helpful because these contains repeated questions. Daily revise the formula book and tricks you have learnt during revision for 1 hr.
The Reasoning part contains 35 questions. In this coaxing and decoding, blood relations, directions and distances, ordering and ranking, arrangement and pattern, and data sufficiency are easy topic and can be solved in less time. Try to solve questions on these topics daily for 2 hrs. So try to solve them first in exam. The data sufficiency contains 3-5 questions which are similar and can be solved in less time so solve them first. The other topics are tough so try to practice questions (20-40 questions) on them for 1 hr daily.
English subject is easy for English medium students but tough for Hindi medium students. So English medium students can give less time, daily 1hr for this subject. But Hindi medium students have to solve daily 40-50 questions on this subject. This section contains 30 questions in exam. The error spotting, cloze test, fill in the blanks, are required practice. If you want to solve many questions on this subject you have to practice 40-50 questions daily on this subject. The vocabulary is the backbone of any language. So read and learn 5-10 words daily. The reading comprehension is easy and contains 5 questions so try to solve them first in exam.
So guys there are the key points to remember :
1. Solve daily 40-50 questions on easy and scoring topics (listed above) of QA.
2. Revise formulaes and tricks of QA daily.
3. Solve 40-50 questions of Reasoning daily.
4. Read Vocabulary daily and try to learn 5-10 words. You can read it from last year papers of PO, RRB & SBI.
5. Most Important thing is solve 2 time the last 2 years papers of IBPS PO Preliminary Exam and also SBI PO paper of 2017. And read the analysis of IBPS RRB prelims 2017 paper.
